King Tut at the Dennos

The Dennos Museum Center, in association with the International Museum Institute, Inc. & McMillen’s Custom Framing,  presents Tutankhamun “Wonderful Things from the Pharaoh’s Tomb” January 21- May 6, 2018.

Members and Guests opening reception is Saturday January 20, 2018 at 6:30pm

This exhibit, featuring artifacts reproduced by the artisans of the Pharaonic Village in Egypt and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, brings to life the enigmatic, opulent age of 18th Dynasty Egypt. It recreates the richest archaeological find of all time, telling the story of the historic discovery of the tomb by Howard Carter and the life of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Included are such spectacles as the golden Canopic Shrine, the pharaoh’s magnificent state chariot, the iconic golden mummy case, his throne, embalming couch, bed, funerary mask, and the bejeweled royal mummy.

McMillen’s is proud to be the first sponsor at the newly expanded Dennos Museum for such a grand reopening and amazing exhibit.  If you are reading this, please come and join us on opening night, and be the first to see what has become one of Traverse City’s destination hot spots.
